When did you first get involved with CCFI?
My first experience working with CCFI (or JSI at the time) was with Neighborhood Centers.
Why were you moved to join CCFI as a Board Member?
I was called to join the board because of the work they did with kiddos and parents. I also thought it was unique that they recognized the strengths of parents rather than the weaknesses.
What do you enjoy most about your service on the Board?
I enjoyed working with the staff and getting to know other community members serving on other Boards, all with the same goal in mind. I also really liked that we were a working Board.
What do you feel is the biggest impact CCFI has made on the community?
I feel like one of the biggest impacts is the many families that have been strengthened over the years, regardless if they are biological or adoptive.
What would you like to say to encourage others to get involved with CCFI, whether by donating or volunteering?
Truly, our future is in our children. And if we don’t strengthen and empower the individuals who are raising families, what will our future hold?
