Bolaji's Story
When did you first get involved with CCFI?
I first got involved with CCFI in early 2019 when DHS recommended them to me.
What service(s) did you and your family utilize?
I attended Parents Assistance classes.
What was most helpful about using CCFI services for you and your family?
Learning about discipline, safety… ALL of it! I always enjoyed coming to class and seeing Mrs. Ashley. She was always so nice and energetic with great information to share. I hated to see class end! But I know the information I received is going to make me a better Grandma. I have 5 grand kids and it’s important that I know how things are done today, because in my generation things were handled differently. So I’m thankful for that knowledge.
Did coming to CCFI change anything about your life?
Yes! I really feel like I’ve become a better Grandma. My grand kids are my world, they are my next generation. I want to know that when I’m gone, they will all be okay.
What comes to mind when you think of CCFI?
I think of a place of safety and wisdom.
What do you feel is the biggest impact CCFI has made on the community?
I wish the whole community would know about the work that CCFI does. Everyone can benefit from listening to the information they provide on how to raise your children mentally, emotionally and physically. My overall experience was wonderful and I will be an advocate for CCFI for a lifetime!
