Kavya's Story

When did you first get involved with CCFI?  

I first got involved with CCFI in the spring of 2017

Why were you moved to join CCFI as a volunteer?

I was motivated to join CCFI because I knew I was making donations and volunteering to give back to the community that I grew up in. I am a big believer in saying thank you, whether it is to a teacher, a coach, or a parent, and this is my way of saying “thank you” to the wonderful community here.

What do you enjoy most about volunteering?

I enjoy volunteering because I love working in such a pleasant environment with people that share the same drive and intention.

What do you feel is the biggest impact CCFI has made on the community?

CCFI is a magnificent organization that provides for families when they are in need of help. It acts as a centripetal force in our district.

What would you like to say to encourage others to volunteer at CCFI?

I would encourage other people to volunteer because it makes you have a different perspective on your own life. You become more appreciative, and you learn how to assist people in need. You become more selfless and those are life skills that will radiate and affect the people around you.
